Bit of a crappy pic due to camera, but here it is all the same.

What equipment did you use. Borrowed, bought, cheap, pricey etc?
How tricky was it to spray, and where did you do it?
All in do you recommend doing it yourself?
Loads of questions but had to ask.

Only had to contend with fly's walking on it and if they stick, most of them polish out

For everything excluding paint, it came to about £200
£150 for compressor, £30 for a gun, £20 for 25ft of air hose.
As for paint, i ordered it from www.jawel.co.uk which was also the place i got my compressor.
I paid £140 for paint, but that was 5ltr's of hi-build primer, 2.5ltrs of ducati yellow, 1ltr of Jet Black, came with all the activators and thinners too.
I would say its definatly better to do yourself. unless you have a 100% mint shell. But i dont! and i wouldnt feel so bad if next year it might bubble up somewhere, but on a £500 paint job i wouldnt be so happy.
It was sprayed outside, with no heaters and halogen lights for seeing what i was doing. I found that checking the humidity helps as you can see how much moisture is in the air.
The main thing is the "feel good factor" of doing every on my car myself (barring the rebore and head)

Thats the top coat (3rd layer) but i will leave it a week before giving it a polish, just to make sure its cured the best it can.
Anyone recommend a good wax for my car to help protect the new shine?
Cheers for the feedback all, very much appreciated!
