Mini sidewalks seemed to be rather curse as i crash my old mini sidewalk to! pretty much the same as you, with damage but it was a woman who pulled out on me on a roudabout causing me to swerve into a major wet patch and just aqua plain all the way home into a vauxall astra, same as you

My god not seen a mini front quite so crumpeld ouch, guess if it was a normal insurance claim be write off for sure. How about if it has an agreed value should repair it then! id hope!

What a pointless so say accident that was totally not needed, see stuff like this everyday though I think some peeps go out of there way to cause them!! :( :)

Modern car syndrome - not so easy to forget your moving at speed in a little tin box when you're driving a Mini.

I've learned to make eye contact with drivers that could pull out from pedaling my bike.

Agreed value won't matter if you're claiming off a third party, kind of agree with Roofless too. Maybe that should be ruthless: the insurers will try and pay as little as possible so don't cut them any slack claim for all you can. If you do better than you think is fair; there are plenty of charities.

Its not got an agreed value :) I did mention the value when the policy was taken out which I said was £2000, but it was not agreed. They didn't mention about agreed valuations.

I have an agreed value on the other mini though.

I just cant beleive he didn't see me, I was less than 3 meters away when he pulled out.

Minis are so ickle and there is so much to see I think our brains screen out the small stuff first as probably slower moving.*
Be glad you weren't a biker, he'd have seen you even less.
Sorry it happened by the way.

*EDIT Biiiiiiiig mistake if you think a mini on a roundabout is going slowly

Ouch, well atleast now you have no excuse to not sort out that rust, providing insurance goes ok.

Im ok, haven't gone to docs but will be going tomorrow, just grazed my knee a bit and shook me up. Quick damage survey reveals.

Bulkhead pushed back
Crossmember creased.
Toe board pushed up (subframe pushed in)
O/S wing completely mangled, inc front panel
Front end looks like its been pushed over aswell.
Bonnets gone.
Screen cracked

Me... peed off. The clot, talking to his girlfriend apparently, I couldn't get mad though because at the end of the day it doesn't help matters, 2 smahed up car and then 2 smashed up faces, double trouble.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Are you sure you're ok, from here I'm sure I can see some "Upper head trauma"? Thats gotta be worth an MED engine!!

This is why insurance goes up so much, people claiming unnecessarily, fair enough if you're hurt but otherwise just claim for the car.
