i can understand that but at the same time,Yes but its happend now and persoanlly i say milk the system, cause its milking us young ones.
what if you hit the back of a car with 5people in and all of them claim "whip
if everyone plays the game unfairly it soon stops working properly.

But I think I wont have another mini as a daily, I have another two and the winters nowadays are too harsh on them, I think they must be using stronger salt because it just attacks everything.
Thinking of getting an ek9 civic and keeping my minis for weekend warriors.

And for all those that keep mentioning agreed valuations it would NOT have made the least difference if Pauly did have one.
He isnt claiming off his insurance he is claiming off the other person's insurance so his agreed valuation would mean diddly to them. All he can do is fight his hardest to get the maximum amount for the car as I would be pretty certain they are gonna write it off.
This is where the rules fall down. I feel that if you are involved in an accident that wasnt your fault, you should have the option to have your car repaired regardless of the cost as you were not to blame.

Stu, yes mate your right. I think it will be a write off, even if it was my fault and I did have an agreed valuation, the damage is just too much and quite structual aswell.
They have admitted 100% liabilty which they should do as it was a no brainer whos fault it was. They said they will put a quote in and see if its economical to repair or not.

Are you really sure about that, because I have 'Agreed Value' insurance and that really helped get my Mini fixed after a prang.
Without it the insurance assessor said that my Mini would have been written off.

Sam14 - No it was silver'ish like a champaine colour
Bamby - I was so angry that I just couldn't say anything, it was the most idiotic thing to do, if he drove like stevie wonder he would of been better!!
Well cars gone away to be inspected, just waiting on feedback of what they are going to do now, also got to fill in some claim forms that have arrived today, my insurer's phoned last night to say that the claim is closed their end and that the NCB bonuses have been reinstated and that we shouldn't hear from our insurers now, it will be all done through the other partys. Weather or not they will repair is another thing, as stu has said above, really they should agree to repair it whatever the damage or give me a car of equal value (£2000) or give me the true value of the car.
Oh well..... its a good job ive got another 2 to play with

I say ALL drivers who've been on the road for over ten years, should be made to re-test to the current standard and if they can't hack it then they obviously shouldn't be on the road! *Grr*
Prime candidates: Taxi Drivers and Flat Cappers!

OI!!
I've been driving for 20 years now!!
Bleeding whipersnappers!!
I've been driving for five.
You get two types of idiots on the road, flat-cappers and base-ball cappers. Complacency is across the board though, the more you drive the worse the bad habits you usually have... so re-testing is necessary to keep everyone on the ball and hopefully reduce incidences of sheer, bloody-minded plonkerism like this.
