I have my welder and drill back!
Not sure what happened but the welder has been in the field now for three weeks . I will strip this down after prints have been taken and see if I can fix/clean it up etc.
Also found my drill in its carry box.
It would seem that they stole various items from various people and stashed them locally. They then stole another persons trailer locally and loaded the lot up.
Not far from where the trailer was stolen some items have been found.
I am guessing they were spooked? or interrupted somehow and some items were left behind.
CCTV has shown the trailer loaded with items leaving the scene at 7.15pm on that day.
The car towing the trailer has been linked to other crimes.
We are getting closer every day.
Pictures to follow

I know its not the most expensive welder in the world but I am still chuffed to bits to have it back.
Its been modified to work how I want it to and its been a good little welder.
Just so chuffed

still lots of things missing but I will be searching the whole area this evening when I get home. Maybe other items were discarded.
Just so strange for this to have been where it was for so long without someone seeing it.
Dog walkers, ramblers or farmer etc?

Been and looked but cant spot anything
Just waiting on the prints being lifted (if any) from the welder so I can rebuild it and see if it still works.
Thanks for the support mate

Opened the welder to find alot of muddy water residue and also poo! yup poo from the fields had washed inside it.
Prob shouldn't have done this but I covered the fragile components and then steam cleaned the inside!
I left it overnight in front of the radiator and then stripped it fully, inspected and oiled everything that needed it and then carefully worked my way through checking resistances and continuity etc.
Check and double checked everything and turned it on.... brrrr of the fan and she was away. Oddly works better now then before.
As for catching the culprit...
"they" have left evidence, Its a waiting game for me to hear back but shouldn't be long now.

Thanks Artful D,
Its looking very unlikely that anything else will turn up or be recovered. However there are some promising developments as far as the scum Pikeys go.
Will keep you guys updated when I am allowed to share information.
