Manic Flashing!

when ur indicators flash manicly it usually means one of your bulbs has gone right?
checked all four bulbs, there all flashing, but all really quickly??
hmmmm doesnt seem right to me??
any ideas guys, it was early this morning so if its something silly im sorry!

you flasher unit's about to pop...get a new one

where is the indicator flasher unit? is it behind the dash on the right hand side by the clocks??
do halfrauds stock them??

depends on the loom, and if you have hazards... if you have hazards then it's behind the clocks... if you don't then it's beside the wiper motor.
and yes you can get them from halfords.

well i do have hazards, not that they work! but should be an mg metro loom, i think i remember seeing it being the dash when i changed it, will have a look later, GW your as helpful as ever

look under the bonnet 1st. if theres a sliver box on the passenger side clost ish to the wiper motor then thats your flasher.

when you have hazard lights fitted, the one next to the wipers is the Hazard flasher, the indicator flasher ( which is on a different circuit ) is behind the dash... they are not the same.

My 850 has got both of them next to the windscrean wiper motor. Maybe the hazards were added later :'(

When i bought my mini i thought there was something up, the indicator had to hazards unit and the hazards had the indicator!

all sorted now guys, £10's worth of flasher units later and both indicators and hazards now work nice n slow!!

my ones have a delay before they come on, you turn them on then about 2 seconds later they start to flash.

Guys, I always fit an electronic flasher to 'regulate' the flash rate and are far more reliable.

yer my hazards do that - flick the switch on - bout 2 or 3 secs later they start to flash - is it meant to do that?
