Good Morning,
My 1999 Mini 40SE will not start.
I am sure that the battery is not dead, as it is a fairly new battery, and when I discovered it was not starting I checked and confirmed that nothing had been left switched on.
The car is completely dead. None of the lights, radio, internal light etc turn on.
When turning the key absolutely nothing happens, complete silence.
I suspected that the immobiliser fob battery was dead, and the immobiliser was stuck engaged, however I have replaced the fob battery and still nothing happens. The red light on the dash is not on so I believe that means the immobiliser is not engaged anyway.
I believe the problem is with the electrics. I shall check the fuse box next as hadn't thought of that until writing this.
If anyone has any tips it would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Liam
