Can anyone help?

I am looking for a 1071 MK1 cooper S crankshaft main bearing cap set, (3 off).

They are matched to the block. 
 

you may as well buy a set of caps from MED or KAD as you will need to have the block and caps line bored.

yep...

 

unles your going for a concourse build, its probably easier/ just as cost effective to get a set of uprated steel mains caps

From memory, the S main journals are a different width from the mainstream 1275 ones. I might be wrong, but best to check it.

Oh dear, that is going to be expensive.

 

I used to line bore mains, but even with the special tool that I made, it was time consuming.

 

If you had the front and rear main caps, it is straightforward to line bore the centre main, and when that has been done, it simplifies locating the tool that cuts the "face" for the thrust washers.

 

Without any caps, it takes a lot of time lining up and realigning

Swiftune sells steel caps for cooper S blocks. I think the KAD & MED steel caps only suit 1300 type blocks.

They are indeed and the early 1071 caps were different again.
