I would replace them for the cost involved and their importance.Just want to share a picture of a greenstuff pad i removed today. Is this a fault in the manufacturing of normal ware.

Also check for sticky piston. Looks like over heated.
Replace... would not want friction surface to dislodge and take you off the road..

Normally when they get hard use before going through a few heat cycles. But it still shouldn’t happen
Like Steve220 says Mintex 1144’s are much better

Yes it happened to me. The braking material had separated from the steel backing plate. Luckily it was held in place by the pistons and the pins at the front of the calliper. It MOTed fine and the braking had not been affected.
I am still a fan of EBC, tho.

Same here on an old M3 track car. They replaced them twice, but I gave up in the end and have never bought EBC since.
