thanx for the drawing, think thats the way mine are now.
I have a few photos of the engine bay, but now close up of the regualtor, but im sure ill be doing some more work to it tomorrow, ill get some close ups then. They are easy enough fitted.
Mine was the one Minisport sell, round £80 mark. One pipe needs cutting (fuel return) and the rest is easy.

My MPi is almost the same specification as yours apart from an Icon Race Chip fitted but I'm having a problem resolving a misfire/flutter on half throttle???? - see thread Visit My Website
I've just ordered a 52mm Throttle Body and LCB and if this don't work the next thing being the adjustable fuel regulator?

sounds like you having a hell of a time trying to find the problem.
mine is a bit lumpy at idle, but it also was even beofre i striped it, so im not worried.
Ill not know untill i take it for a drive what difference the lcb and throttle body makes.
Tho when i rev it not, it does seem to suck in alot more than before.
All in all, my 3-4 hrs of ticking over and small bit of rev'ing didnt really tell me much about everything is running.
Im running a de-cat as well, and what i do notice is the strong smell of fumes that now comes the rear.
I was concerned about fitting the regulator as you whether i needed it or not, but i just went for it.
gonna get some pics now for ya.......

Yeh, I've also bought the De-CAT link pipe to fit when I replace the LCB but I think if it was the CAT it would probably choke right through the rev range and not just at light throttle? It also passed it's MOT only a few weeks ago!!!
PS - Does your regulator have a pressure gauge or is it just trial & error?
PPS - can you post a link to it on the MiniSport website as I can't find it?

you can see, i havent mounted mine, dont think i will either. The pipe just across the front of it, is the return hose that goes back to the tank.
Instead, if you look closely, you can see the pipe coming from the bottom of the regulator instead.

heres a clearer pic of the return hose now from the regulator.
The blue pipe is a vacum pipe from the manifold, this originally went into the old regulator in the manifold.
Its now been replaced with this....

Then a pipe from this goes into the adjustable regulator so you can control the pressure.
I have blocked off the old return hose with a hex bolt and tightened a hose clip around it.
Once its fitted it screams for a while, this is the trapped air init, goes away after 5 mins.
There a small screw on the top to adjust it, ive mine loose as im sure ive a bit of tampering left to do to it.

thats the link for the one i got.
It does not have a gauge, though there is an end blocked off where you can fit one, might do in the future.
Im setting mine by trail, they do give you some tips in the instructions, but nothing in great detail.

do a compresion test
Yeh, just order a compression test kit. I had some results from a previous owner somewhere which were all okay (about 1000 miles ago), however, I have changed the head gasket recently due to an oil leak at back n/s corner but it didn't look like it had gone between cylinders?
What "should" pressure be on an MPi???

Thanks for the photos, I've bit the bullet and just order the pressure regulator kit. Looks like I've got lots to do next week (and no presents left to open on Christmas Morning LOL)
