I have been into photography for as long as i can remember!
But i have never had any good kit.
I also have been into climbing for longer (litraly) than i can remember, so i was perfectly suited for it (- the photography kit)
So me and a mate who has been doing urban exploration for 30 odd years (he is 50, still going well though!!! ) went out last weekend.
He let me use his older kit (still all really good stuff, like only about 3 years old, but he loves to be UPTO DATE! )
he is going to send me the pics when he can be bothered to pop them on his pc.
We are hoping to nip into sheffield on sunday evening/night.
some crains i have spotted, also lots of old industrial building.
not sure on the crains, but we will see.
Anyone on here into it, and would like to shair some snaps?
info on photography kit, and some stuff on good spots near you. . .
(i understand there is a photography topic, but i would like to localise this to urban photography)
P.s.
it does NOT have to be any exploring, just snaps of city scapes are good.
Regards,
Joe

as i say, im on a site called 28 days later all the time!
there are a few spots round me,
rossington pit. the headstocks are still there, but thats guareded alot, so will have to be abit shifty.
my main ambision is to do a roof top.
i have looked at my sisters building (in manchester)
and that was no good, but her boy friend is in the new builds at salford.
and they look cool so will hop on a train and try to find a way to the roof.
i love it!

BUT....isn't most of this illegal and classed as trespassing?
Also, is it not really quite dangerous to be walking around derelict, rotting buildings?

Old pubs, dis-used factories... loved it!!
I remember, that I think it was Purple Tom, that posted up someone that managed to get into Longbridge, after it had closed down, and got into the underground system etc! That was a good read!
Unfortunatly, it seems all the cameras all these people use to make awesome, decent pictures, are all too expensive for me to afford

Maybe one day I'll get a camera and go out again someday, theres loads of old buildings, castles, etc round here to go an explore!

Its good fun though and you'll have a whale of a time doing it

Just quick.. Trespassing is not against proper law but only civil.. so the land owner can get annoyed and tell you to go away but the 'police cant' but.. its a whole different ball game on alot of things.. e.g railways, live buildings..
