Thinking Of Going Retro

I am thinking of either swapping the central par of the grille for wavy grille or go full mk1 with moustache
Mirrors I am going to upgrade to adjustable bullets
Bumpers I am not sure if I will bother with overriders or not?
Wheels and arches I would like your opinions. Thinking about minilites (5x10 or 6x10) but can't decide on arches?

new bullets, like you said, i cant stand bullets and would take them off and have normal chrome mirrors but your choice
overriders and corner bars, if you go for the normal grille, if you go wavy then maybe just overriders
6x10s with... group 2 wides, with the chrome bit!

I love it! I think you should def do overiders-they look brilliant. I went with Wood & Pickett arches as I didn't want the works/rally look of the Group 2 although they can look good on the right car. Wood & Pickett arches are slightly wider than the standard arches so I'd go for 6x10s myself but having just stuff some on mine be prepared for some tyre/arch scrubbing.

This is the way I got the car which is probably part of the reason I am thinking of making these changes to put my own mark on it.
Hadn't thought about ordinary chrome mirrors, i might take a look at them.

What wheels are they; 6x10 revolutions?
Do the arches come out past the tyre or do they line up fairly square?
Any other images of inside or outside?

Still undecided on whether to go 0" or not. Has anyone gone from 13" to 10" and does it change the ride much. Also I was going to put 4 pot metro calipers on my 8.4" disks. Going to 10" means I have to change to S calipers and 7.9" brakes. How do these compare to 4 pots on 8.4 or even my current setup. I am thinking about adding a supercharger to my 1293 so I want good breaks
I know I could go for a 4 pot setup on the 10" wheels but they cost a lot more.
Also anymore pics of cars with sport pack arches and 10" wheels as I am not sure about group 2 arches

Once i did the conversion i used 5x10" wheels and 1/2 inch spacers, in my opinion this setup its a bit stressing for suspension and causes a bit of torque/bump steering, but it was still an improvement to the 6x13" wheels.
About brakes, not all 10" rims can go over 7,9" brakes.
The 7,5" cooper s setup is very good and it doesnt give you the brake fading issues that the 8,4" standard setup can give. Use quality pads, theres a lot of crap on the market, remember you get what you pay when it comes to brakes.

I'd reccomend some 6x10" wheels.

Sorry it was the cooper 7.5" conversion I meant. Looking at the minispares kit, seems pretty good value at the minute.
Do you have pics of your car online?
