What is the easiest way to fit 4 individual spot lamps on the front? The mini spares Works lamp bar says modification is needed to the grill and grill back plate which I dont really want to do.

Has anyone got pics of how they did theirs please?

No idea where mine came from as it was fitted to the car.

But it bolts through the bumper seam and has steel plates which fit behind the grill and the front light bar fits in front, then bolts pass through the slats of the grille and sandwich the grille, the only mods are the two holes in the bumper mount strip.

If you put up some links to what you have found I might be able to identify it.

Mine are mounted on a bar that is bolted directly into the front subframe mounts beneath the bumper, which means they are very firmly/securely mounted & that you don't get any of the vibration & juddering of the lights that is often associated with mounting to the front panel!!

AVV IT - That is a good idea, what did you use to make your brackets? They look like about 15-20mm tube, is that right?

As bungle says, it's a purpose built item called a "low tubular lamp bar" made by a roll cage manufacturer called "TT Lyle". They used to advertise in mini mag/ mini world a few years ago, but I've not seen any of their stuff recently so I'm not sure if they are still trading, might be worth a "google" though or you could pick one up on fleabay I suppose??

Looks like they have stopped trading. I might have a go at welding up my own bracket the same as those in the pics above. Do they bolt on under the subframe with 2 bolts each side?
AVV IT - your ones look like they go through the lower part of the front panel, is this right or is that just a deceptive picture??

i got this bar from mini sport if you look one tag goes over the center of the bumper and bolts to the bumper tag underneath. the other 2 tags you have to drill into the bodywork i didnot have to modify the car at all apart from drill 2 holes, the wires then went through the grill

Yes you are correct, my bar is fitted by removing the two blots that that attach the front panel to the front subframe and then bolting the bar in place of them. Very simple and a 5 minute job to bolt it in place, only trouble is that if you have an aftermarket towing eye mounted in the subframe at that point, then it has to go!!

My bar is actually off the car at the moment, so I can take a few pics and post them here if it helps to give you a better idea of how to make something similar?
