After mentioning that this is fact, I contacted Soren yesterday.
He has not answered yet.
So, I wait for response.
I think they will receive lots of complaints on that fact.
It will be interesting how the story ends.
See you in DK,
Bobo

Thats exactly what most of the german Mini people say.

Hi Bobo,
Good for the Germans!
I shall be writing to Soren too.
I was so looking forward to this event - but I just don't want to go now, and I'm so angry I've paid all of the money out.
Be nice to see you, but if we can't park next to our tents then I very much doubt I will be going to the IMM, seeing that I have already paid for the ferry we might yet end up in the South of France.

I'm too cross to know what to do so I won't say any more now. I'm booked Harwich to Esbjerg.
I've been really stewing all day about it - I'M FLIPPING ANGRY to put it mildly.
I have written to Soren asking for a full refund, a refund of the ferry, refund of the hotels booked en route and compensation. Doubt very much I'll get it though.
This is a really nasty cruel trick they are trying to play on us - A WEEK BEFORE

Looking at the map do they expect us to cart all of our stuff over a road to where we put our tents up?
AND WHY IS THERE A PLACE FOR NEW MINI PARTICIPANT PARKING?
The South of France is looking more and more appealing by the second - anyone fancy coming to the South of France instead of the IMM in Denmark? Yes I am deadly serious about the South of France.

Really dont see what your issue is

All of the other IMM's that I have attended I have parked next to my tent.
How are we expected to get all of our camping equipment from a car park to where they dictate we should put our tents?
I think that as a gesture of goodwill we should at least be given the option to camp at the campsite where there are photographs of cars parked next to their tents.
Definitely not looking forward to this event that's if I bother to go which is looking highly unlikely at the moment.
I'm not getting involved in debating about rock concerts.

Dont see what the problem is really. Any big event where there are thousands of attendees, parking is always seperate from the camping. When was the last time you went to a Rock festival and managed to pitch your tent by the side of your car, or have you been to a rock festival?
Really dont see what your issue is
Actually all rock/metal festivals that I've participated over the years we have always parked our cars next to the tents

But seriously talking, I'd prefer my Mini next to my tent as I got lots of stuff that i rather keep inside mini rather than in a tent and now it's necessary to run between tent and car...

Fair enough but i dont supose they were big events the likes of Download/ Monsters of Rock, Cream Fields, Glastonbury.
On another note. Who are we to complain about another countries laws.
Its bad enough at the British Mini Showdown with the want to be racers tearing up the grass in the evening and racing round the site roads.
Still dont see what the problem is.
Anyway, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so if you dont wish to go to IMM just because you have to carry your camping gear to the camp site, then im sorry that you would let that ruin your trip, but thats a decision you have already made and good luck with it, I hope you have a better time of it in France

Wouldn't you be a little dissappointed if you had looked forward to an event and planned for your annual holiday about a year in advance, only to find out a week before departure date that unlike other IMM's we have attended we can't park next to the tent, and not to be told about it until the last moment. Simply this is just my reason please don't take this is as having digs at you or anything!
Yes I agree respect other countries laws; it's just the way this has been organised. If I knew beforehand I wouldn't have bought a ticket.
It's all down to personal opinions, nothing to do with Rock events which is a debate I will not get into.
There is a medical reason as to why I can't carry heavy gear around.

Be interesting to see if they come up with any decent vegetarian food - I am holding out no hope whatsoever though!
