Now I've heard of, Brown Bread, dynamat etc... and basically it's blooming expensive and I'm not into ICE that much, just want to reduce the drum and road noise...
The use of Roof Flashing tape has been mentioned around the place, and the theory being that it is pretty much the same sort of stuff, and aluminum backed bitumen tape...
Has anyone used it and how does it perform compared to it's more expensive bretherine.

In between rain showers I managed to start on the sound deadening, now I know the floor has some on already but a fair amount had to be removed when sticking the floor back together... so...
This took me about an hour, it's jsut started peeing it down again so had to stop..

When you compare the cost of flashing to Brown Bread or dynamat, your quid's in.. I've used about 1/2 of my 17 quid roll.. should finish the rest of the floor and bulkhead area with what remains of this roll...
I estimate to do the rest of the car, which includes, rear seat, inside of bins, and rear quarters, boot, doors and roof will take another 3 rolls, bringing the total to 4 rolls, which is less that 70 quid..
With the other's you'ld be saying good by to two to three hundred nicker :nugget:

The roll size is 225mm x 10m and weighs just shy of 2.5kg, and I recon 4 rolls will do the entire car, which is.. floor, doors ( skin and inside ) kick board, bulkhead and flitch, read bins, arches nd quarters, rear sea squab and back and the entire boot.. and I may have enough left to do the roof..
So added weght to the car, about 10kgs or in laymans terms less than 1/2 a tank of petrol.
Basically 4 rolls gives almost 10 sq meters of coverage...
And I've now found it for 16 quid in Homebase...
Or you can buy it off ebay...

NOT... mind you if you can get away with it, it's a 100% markup !!!
