Been doing alot of thinking and talking to the wife, id like to invite you all over for a cuppa o tea!! as i said youve heard of the London to brighton run, well how about the London to Frankfurt...

almost 500miles, loads of mini`s getting together, taking the boat over at Dover!! and battling it out through Belgium then France then in to Germany!! that would be like CRAZY!!! germany is the only country that has NO speed restriction on the motorways, then you can really push your baby to the limit...i do mine!!

Be nice to meet you all though!!! oh well just a thought...

Heh, that'd be great, although I fear that my humble 998 would get left behind. But I'm well up for ragging it around the Nuremburg ring.

who else thinks we shjould do it???

it would only take around 8 hours driving then whatever the eurostar is on top, and we could leave it down to barnett to plan stuff for when we get there!!!

we could notify the mags, and get LOADS of people to do it, also get people to sponsor us and give the money to charity!!!!

who else is in??

why not,

hell lets doit.

i reckon i could have achat with a certin member who has a nice big van, i could fill it full off work tools, and anything else we may need, take his trailer which holds 2 minis! and we could go as the suport van!!!!

right who is realy willing to do this,

will take about a day to get there and say 2/3 days there then a day back..

i could get some large tranfers for the van!!!!

could say that every mini needs to have a full check over before going.... so we dont get minis brakeing down so much...

could ask members to bring spare parts what we may need to put in the van (which they could have back at the end of the run)

CB would be very good to use as hes been a long run and he knows all about it a bit more than say me or nick

got to remember the heat and minis over heating...
so we would have to pick a good time of year to do the run

could do it for charity get sposers etc

we will be on autobahn no speed limit !!!

altho we need a convoy else people would get lost.
its less than 500 miles there i reckon...

we could do the run for someone like macmillan cancer, raiseing money for them

(Barnett 2 sugers please)

To be honest, this is something I would love to do next year. I would need to find an intelligent mapreader/co-driver though !

I dont think 'no speed restrictions' matter on minis too much do they? I can only just about hit 100 in mine! I would love to travel to some of europe.

 Nice one!!!

But as you said on a serious note, we should plan it some time in 2005, maybe the start summer!! nice weather to drive over...and perfect weather to hit the pipe out on ya mini`s...

I dont belong to any german club but i do have a few contacts!! ie " very cheap mini parts!! and one or two very good mechanics...

Let me look in to the nürnburgring!! i know there are motor shows there very often, and your right it would be GREAT publicity for the Classic mini and " TheMiniForum " and i could when the time comes promote the idea on german mini websites and you can bet your a*se on it the mini`s will be rolling in from all over the shop...

im getting exited already!! this was only a joke suggestion but the more i think about it the better it gets...

Be well cooooool to see you all there!!

im sure the MiniWorld magazine would sponser!! and as for charity!! children with Cancer would be my first option...but thats your work to do in the UK...
