That way i could also get a chance to hook-up with some others non-mini mates ( i do have some) in Germany.
but, that is when cowboy is away in sunny places and my brother is getting married in July so that takes away most of July and August for me

Have a look at this link for hotels , we used the the hotel Zur Burg , very close to where you get onto the track , about 1/2 mile .
We had a great night in the restraunt.
We got off the Calais ferry at 12pm and we were there by dark with an hour stop .
Even found a classic mini dealer nearby, with loads of mini for sale.
Next morning five minis round the track ( FANTASTIC ) but take care every thing is coming passed you at twice your speed and there is very little room on some of the bends .
We stopped at Nurburgring on our way to Trento for this years Italian Job ( visited Hockenheim next day as well .)
Nurgurgring is a fantastic experience ( and who knows how long they will keep it open , lots of accidents mean that it may get closed to the public .) a must do.
You could do the whole thing in a week end easily , but more fun if you take longer.
14euros a lap , and hardly any waiting

Don't think this is what she had in mind
But if may be able to work what charm I have left by August..
Late July August would be best for us, we can then ship the kids off to the fossils ( Grandparents ) for a week...

the trip would be like a holiday for us because it may cost around £500 for the week, just depends on what accomadation we are going for, also it may be a little more expensive because its summer, so we may have to take the camping gear  but what an experience it will be, to get a convoy to Germany and back and spend some laps on the track
