Hi iam daniel and this my mini

I got this mini city e for my 16th birthday last year in august, it was bought on ebay for £340 it has 59k miles. It sat now the drive for a couple of mouths with little work being done, now we have a garage and i have more money now me and my dad can get the work done faster and should be finish for when i can drive.

it needed both new wings, front panel, both door skins, both a panels, both gusset, both bulkhead reapair panels, boot floor,
full gasket set radiator, full interior it was brown, rear subframe, rear valance, and a full respray the guy that owned it before painted it with a house paint with a paint brush. i didnt need to do it all but i thought it would be better to replace it all now while it is in bits.

the sills had metal plates glue on and the car had lots of putt on it i dont think it was worth £340

here are some pics:

this is what it looked like to start with:

interesting idea tack welding the wings to the front panel under the headlamps, not seen that done before, generally people spotweld the lips from behind... but that relies on having a spotwelder i guess lol :owned: will certainly be plenty strong enough!

looking good, you must be relieved to be cutting all that rot out :P

It was good to get all that rot out :P the wings have been spot welded on the outside and inside. Still got to grid them spots down to make them look better

the boot floor has now been replace all that i need to on the body work now is buy new rear subframe mounts with rear closing panels, rear valance, and some areas need filling and grind the welds flat then it will be ready for paint most of the car is rubbed down ready

Hi again

Can somebody help i need someones opinion. I want to put a white roof with white strips and 2 spot and 2 foglights i might be putting sports pack alloys and archs depends on price if i cant afford them i will be putting minilites and wide moulded arches on the car.

i need someones opinion on whether to debadge the car or put one on and if i do put one on which one should i put on it will look similar to a cooper when am finished. Andif i debadge the car should itakethe boot badge of to or just the bonnet. I need to choose soon beacause we're filler the body work soon.

here's a pic that frankiebateman did for me of what it might look like when its finished to help:
