debating upon wheather or not I should pull the cover off to see how bad my clutch is...

that the burning smell after driving and slippage in 3rd turns out the clutch needs replacing

There you go. Makes no odds then really. Might as well have a look :-)

but, even if it was a number of years ago the clutch plate has only done just over 20k and I can't see that all being down to having to do hill starts all the time

Damm, I was hoping my cheap imitation hammerite would have dried by now.

Agreed. All the 'metal' paints i've tried now takes ages to dry. and even then can still be tacky in places after a day or two.. Anyone actually found decent stuff?

anti-vandal paint, isn't that just underseal in a different tin?

Plus I was only using this stuff as the two half used tins of proper hammerite had both dried up solid. still the part/s I've painted live under the car anyways, I was just didn't want to end up with sticky black hands when it came to refitting everything

Oh great, more clutch issues. crunchy/stiff gear changes and over an 1" of free play in the pedal before it feels like its doing anything.

That frustrated feeling when the jump starter just dies at the same moment the engine just tries to fire up. Then after recharging the jump starter the mini fires up first try of the key only to then slowly die a few minutes later, after realising there might not have been as much fuel in the project mini as first thought.

I just don't see what all the fuss is about, over a little snow. my drive home in it was pretty uneventful and even getting down and back up my snow covered hill was just as uneventful

Another one from last night. That sinking feeling when the side of the mini gets pebbel dashed by a passing gritter >_<

No way, exact same thing happened to me last night. He had the spread rate turned way up. I don't remember ever getting sprayed that bad. Was raging!

Idiots! Council should spend more time filling pot holes & waste less time/money gritting on warm days!

have zero respect for bini owners after having a 64 plate mini clublman sat within inches of the rear bumper of the mini with it headlamps on fully/flashing as the speed limit (30mph) clearly wasn't fast enough.

Well the complete dick was that impatient to get past, they chose to over take the wrong side of a diving bollard and speed off at I'd estimate at over 3 times the speed limit in a 30.

If they were 6'5" and built like the terminator then I'd be questioning why they're driving a bini ;)

Because they couldn't get someone else's jeans, boots or motorcycle :-(

I should probably investigate what the new random knocking noise is on the mini, but I’m sooo sore I really can’t be arsed.

First short drive of the year and the start of what appears to be either the alternator or water pump bearings failing :(

Now I’ve started up, checked over and warmed up the mini after being sat outside (still frosty) for the last 3 weeks unused, I now need to warm myself back up.
