A custom one would probably be a lot more expensive than something like this though? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-Mini-Wiring-loom-late-carb-models-rear-section-only-/371075827385?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model:Mini|Plat_Gen:MK+I&hash=item5665d7c6b9

baring in mind that was done by hand in about 20 minutes it's not too bad haha. I'll man up and get a rotary on it, then some polish etc.

It will come up well with a proper mop. Also try a finer paste

the wire to the middle pin on my alternator plug was melted off and not attached, would this have been the reason it wasn't charging my battery?

-
Fast Ivan
its gotta be a suspect

if a wire on a mini wasn't needed for something. there's pretty high chances it wouldn't be fitted in the first place.

2 snapped studs in the block whilst changing the manifold on the polo :( totally ruined my plans of sorting it out to sell it this week like i desperately need to. don't know how to sort it now

-
RossKnight
I can get the manifold off still, but there's less than 5mm protruding, so I don't think anything will get on them will they?
Sep 01 2014 09:26 AM -
Jordie
Dont think it will at 5mm. Cars eh.

Would I get away with these as side repeaters on the wing? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BSA-Triumph-Norton-MG-Mini-Lucas-SPB357-Amber-Warning-Light-Lamp-with-12V-Bulb-/321206624822?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ac9682236

They should be fine, I think you can get LED ones like that which would be better.

SuperDeLuxeNick
they look sick
therefore do it
Jul 29 2014 09:32 PM -
RossKnight
problem with LED's as indicators is that they then need resistors or they flash too fast. I'm trying to do something discrete and easy, as they're only going on to please mot/vosa, if it was my way, my nice new wings would be hole free!
