New waterpump for Sheldon ordered! Payday and already things being spent on my car rather than on family.... Priorities! :D

minimaxie
Quick question, the roof and mirrors on standard Rover Coopers, is the colour Diamond White? Can someone tell me the paint code too please :)

-
minimaxie
Wow, awesome thanks very much! :)

Not all were diamond white. Mine is OEW, which changed from a certain date apparently.
Nov 27 2012 07:49 PM -
minimaxie
Oh poop I reckon mine would OEW too being a Cooper Classic, I'm going to have to trawl through some original ads to confirm :)

Fitted new expansion tank today, now waterpump needs replacing. Hmm, nevermind not a difficult fix :) onwards and upwards!

-
minimaxie
Ah Paul, I thought I had it fixed when I finally got it in 4hours later (a mix of stubborn and inacessable bolts) only to see a puddle underneath him. Checked and it's definitely the water pump lol, labour a love I guess :)

Looking at getting my Wellers refurbed professionally in the new year, mine have some kerbing damage, can they weld new material onto steel wheels? I thought it was only Alloy they could weld onto?

-
minimaxie
Charlie I mean they weld Alluminium on as tig welding (well they do on this local shop im looking at) so I was asking can they weld Allu onto steel? Doesn't mention anything about refurbing steel wheels. And Artful Dodger, that's what I'm hoping for! I don't think doing it myself would come up half as good as if I took it to somewhere professional!

no its steel on steel and alloy on alloy, The 2 don't adhere to each other. steel can be tig welded. Its just a different way of melting it

Nov 15 2012 03:52 PM -
brum,brum,mike
Yeah, make your own... its not that hard! I just bought some hardboard of ebay (about £4, £8 postage... probably cheaper to go to b&q)Then some double sided foam for abit of padding, draw around an old door card as a template, cut everything out. The drill holes where you want stitching! Jobs a good'un ;)

Haha Paul I was thinking that! Do the MINI's not hold their value very well then I take it? It is very lovely inside, very luxury compared to mine haha. She's very proud of it bless her. Haha Lee is sooo big inside! I had sooo much legroom it was unreal! She looks tiny in it (she isn't tall anyway) as you can see here http://m.facebook.com/?_rdr#!/photo.php?fbid=10151323341224747&id=641424746&set=a.10150114019644747.318031.641424746&relevant_count=1...

Just a thought, would Mk1/2 door kick plates such as these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIC-MINI-MK1-2-ALLOY-DOOR-KICK-PLATES-PAIR-/300804036785?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item46095158b1 fit onto the door pockets of my MPi Cooper? i.e. screwing them into the door pocket?

-
