Just a thought, would Mk1/2 door kick plates such as these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIC-MINI-MK1-2-ALLOY-DOOR-KICK-PLATES-PAIR-/300804036785?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item46095158b1 fit onto the door pockets of my MPi Cooper? i.e. screwing them into the door pocket?

Just working from memory of the shape of the plastic door pockets. I would say no. I don't think the shape is the same.

Ah okay :( don't really want to bite the bullet buying them kick plates only to find they wouldnt fit. Nevermind, cheers Deathrow!
