Be careful I once overtook a tractor and halfway past the head gasket blew between cylinders 2 and 3. Still completed the maneuver though!

Just had a driving lesson very soon before my first test, and to say the least I was not good and very tense. Any tips?

Have the Jeremy Clarkson attitude, it's not a test, more a confirmation of my excellence. :)

Need something more scary to happen a few days before your test so it seems like less of a deal. My Dad had a heart attack the day before my 'mock test'. Dx

putting a few chewing gums in my mouth always calmed me down, and still does if I'm ever feeling tense! Used it for my test also :)

If it's over 100 db (I think), or messes up your emissions.

There isn't actually a noise limit. It will fail if the tester believes it to be significantly louder than standard. But it's unlikely to, think of all the people with DTMs.

Just thought I'd check, because the one I'm looking at comes with one as a spare.

Prefer the noise of the RB26DETT

I think an SR20DET is more realistic, still a good motor just not as big!!:P

I've got a heated seat cover in mine. Cost £10 and lovely in winter!

Wow! That's awesome! I want to take the covers off the seats and stick pads on the foam. My friend did it in his land rover.

All the good minis are miles away from home, and with sixth form its not practical to go and look, then return to buy. Means I could end up buying blind :/

I'm in Redditch, Worcestershire. As long as it's within half an hour from me, I don't mind
