Argh no one is able to match the paint on my mini :( Its too pearlescent apparently and I havent got paint code..

Why not both?
Ask on here for a 2nd hand engine to get you up and running - couple of hundred tops, even less if you use your gearbox and head.
Then spend the time rebuilding your own without a rush.

It's an 85 Ritz, I don't think it came with them as standard.

I have an 85 C Reg. No rear belts as standard and no rear seats for the last 4 years. (then no bugger asks for a lift). No MOT problems to date. Try it out but have them to hand if required they only count for the duration of the MOT it isn't worth the paper as soon as you drive out of the garage.
