1700 euros for a cylinder head!? Wow, that's quite a lot.

Yep. You don't need to modify the block, or so they claim.

What kind of performance gains will your motor get from using it?

I've been considering getting a Bora as a daily. What they like? Can pick them up fairly reasonable too

Got a TDI 130 Highline. Most reliable thing I have owned and the boot is HUGE. Not the most dynamic of drives but it's comfortable, quick and economical. Less to buy and insure than the equivalent Golf. Worth a look.

This one seems pretty solid apart from all four arches. Been sat in a barn for years (an actual barn - not someones council garage)

Kelsey publishing are really pushing the sales with the MITP ticket buying process. What's included in the souvenir show guide for £5 extra?

And a £2 admin fee. They really know how to pump the price up. GRRR! I'm sure it was only £10 last year, including free delivery and no admin charge. :(

And if you chose to pay on the day,as you can never be certain of our British weather its £36 just for two adults. Plus fuel and food on top. I personally can't see any point in going. I can stay at home as save my £36 plus quid and buy online or visit a cheaper show/event instead.

Anywhere I can buy a good used tested programmable ECU? Just looking at a DTA S40 Pro ECU on Ebay, and it seems to have all the functions I will require for the future. :)

Idiot! The first thing they teach you on a motor vehicle course is how to raise a vehicle safely, box frames, subframes etc...

Surely if a garage has damaged your vehicle due to bad practices then you are entitled to claim against them.

It's one of two places. I shall try to get one of them to admit to it, but I'm not optimistic...

Wasn't complaining about the work, more about the underutilisation of the good weather.
I do hope there wasn't any permanent damage caused by the infection.
