Would be a 1000mile trip for me if I went via Dover. Via Hull is only 400mile trip

Just posted an advert on Gumtree and someone replied within 10 minutes and is on the way to collect it....

-
Vinay-RS
Wow that is quick! Either very rare or too cheap? Or just a case of right time.right place?
Jun 01 2015 06:14 PM -
Domneon
Certainly not rare and priced correctly, clearly a case of right place right time.

Those moments are great though, it's times like that when the online selling and buying makes sense

I do in some ways. But most people I meet seem to think I'm loads younger than I actually am. Woo!

Had an emergency electrician out today because the consumer unit in the garage went bang. Covered under an emergency policy and they sent out 2 blokes I'd never had dealings with before (or heard of). Found myself bizarrly lying about the Mini and saying it was being sold later today - just don't know whether I can trust anyone these days to know there's a Mini in the garage!! ...Crazy. They seemed nice enough though.

Paranoia ....Never used to think twice about leaving my garage door open during the day. Now I can't shut it quickly enough.

Some really horrible people in the world that don't have an ounce of compassion for animals. I can never understand what enjoyment they get out of it. I only hope someone's punching them around at home.

Those sorts of people shouldn't keep pets. There should be a registry for animal abusers

Damian was going to buy me apple watch for my birthday and all the time I was in apple shop I all I could think of "that money could go on pingu engine" how dedicated am I! And no I never got one in the end.

More fun per £ spending it on the Mini engine and yes you show true dedication!!! x

Thats why you should always wipe the battery on and lag it with waxoyl, Is the box rotted through ?
May 31 2015 05:37 PM -
inim_repooc
The previous owner certainly didn't do that! and the top (inside) section was rotten and there were a few places it had gone through and made holes! cut it out and replaced the panel today - will be as good as new after painting it up tomorrow!

Hi all, can anyone give me any help on mini thermostats I am just stuck on how to fit a new one or if I buy the part how much would it cost to fit in labour??? Thanks, Sam

-
deanymini
A very simple job if you've got the time and inclination. A few bolts, change the gasket and thermostat. Put the housing back on, tighten up the bolts. Bob's your unc.

Just be careful undoing the studs for the housing. Very easily snapped as they corrode and don't like to be moved.

Make sure that the surfaces are scrupulously clean as well. This will ensure a tight and consistent seal between the mating surfaces.
