Sneaky 2 hours this morning before swmbo got up cleaning coil packs, hoses, relays and engine stuff in the kitchen. Off to see Richard III arrive in the cathedral later # fortunate to get a ticket !

Try almost 2 years. The last mini I drove was Lyndsey's Violet and only briefly. I thought after driving modern cars I would be disappointed but no. They still have the same appeal as they did when I first learnt to drive.

Cleaning up the engine ancillaries this afternoon. Starter was so covered in **** I was surprised to find the original date stamped part sticker under the grime. How it. Started the car cover in all that muck is a surprise !!!

stupid question got a engine on a pallet any tips on turning the engine by hand? have not belts just a full engine without ancillaries on a pallet with plugs. just want to keep it moving occasionally thanks :)

take the plugs out and put a squirt of oil down each bore, turn it by hand and put the plugs back in hand tight.

I just took the clutch cover off of mine and periodically turned the big flywheel bolt with a ratchet a few revolutions.
