have you got a welder? Could weld a nut on it.
Failing that, giving the stud a good hard whack on the head with a mallet helps, in most cases it shifts the rust/ corrosion just enough to start turning the stud.

the stud actually broke getting tightened up.. I didn't let it have time to corrode and WD-40'ed it straight away.. its just sealed proper

Shouldn't mess around with epoxy resin. One fixed gauge surround, one stuck coffee mug to the desk. Arse.

I stuck a girl's car keys to a bench at college using epoxy resin once. I put just enough on the back of her keyring so you didn't immediately see it. It looked at though they were just sitting there but they were well and truly stuck.

Your mug is singing to itself: 'Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am, stuck in the middle with glue'

I used my mates 1.2 punto to tow an old mini of mine on a single axle trailer. I only needed to tow it less than a mile and it wasn't very comfortable.

Combined gross weight of 3.5 ton or under or 750kg gross trailer weight if over 3.5 ton. The towing weight for your car is ~900kgs, I think you'd struggle to get a trailer with a plated weight that low

laying under the mini refitting the gear shifter in the rain is not my idea of fun, might have a shower or head off down the pool later to dry off, as its not like I can get any more soaked

Damm, I was hoping my cheap imitation hammerite would have dried by now.

-
RossKnight
Agreed. All the 'metal' paints i've tried now takes ages to dry. and even then can still be tacky in places after a day or two.. Anyone actually found decent stuff?
Feb 15 2015 06:59 PM -

anti-vandal paint, isn't that just underseal in a different tin?
Feb 15 2015 09:20 PM -
1984mini25
Plus I was only using this stuff as the two half used tins of proper hammerite had both dried up solid. still the part/s I've painted live under the car anyways, I was just didn't want to end up with sticky black hands when it came to refitting everything
