I managed to write off one of my learners' RC planes earlier today. Oops. Not good considering I am the clubs training officer

I'd rather have crashed it myself, the kid must be gutted. Let him fly your plane... for free

Yes, I don't mind when it's mine, but still get annoyed with myself. I bought some stronger springs for the monster truck because it's a PITA to handle in a straight line on tarmac @ full throttle, and the high centre of gravity does not help. I was thinking about getting a r/c plane or heli in the future. I think a 23cc heli would suit me better to be honest, but I can't afford it now anyhoo. Got too many 'projects' lying around.

The kid is a 70 year old bloke and hell no I will not let him fly mine. He can't fly hence why I was teaching him. He rolled the plane and put it in a dive. I had a split second to make a decision between going one of two ways (roll out or loop out) and I picked the wrong one unfortunately.

To be honest I've ordered quite a free things from Mini Sport over the years and they've always been spot on, quick delivery, quality products and the products that I need tend to be cheap. I've used other suppliers but sometimes Mini Sport have products (eg 1:3 Roller Rockers) that others don't stock or way out of my price range.

Plus with the TMF discount, and you can bug Simon on the forum too!

Yeah I have bugged Simon a few times and is handy to have him on here. Just a shame they are normally more expensive unless your doing a big order then a decent discount.

Matt, sorry to hear that. Only bad thing about my day was that the hairdressers was shutting at 3:30pm. I didn't know so I got there at 3:28pm. Too late. Dammit!

I've had the blanking plate for about 6 weeks but just come home from uni for the weekend. Took about 40 mins to fit, (only because it took ages to remove stuff in the way, and having a red hot engine) but I would highly recommend the effort! Discovered a leaky injector seal, but even from driving today mpg has risen about 5mpg too, which is pretty good. Pickup and torque was immediately noticeable, well worth the tiny cost of the blanking plate, wish i'd done it sooner! I dri...

Happy Valentine's day to one and all. No other half? Spend the money you'd have wasted on flowers on your mini. Simples!

My god. The the crank is saveable, the block is saveable, the gearbox is servicable and the valves are almost pristine. These A-Series engines are tough little buggers!

Having a friend with chronic OCD can be so tiring. They needed to download some stuff from my laptop onto a stick and the stick touched the table and so became impossibly contaminated with germs. Jeez, I need patience ...

They say OCD is just a nagging doubt in the persons mind.

I know. He was made redundant a couple of years ago and is really struggling now to find a job. He's good at what he does but, in interviews, the first thing people want to do is shake your hand ... and that is just impossible for him. He tells them he has OCD but most employers can't see through the 'you must be barking mad' thing. Such a shame.

My gran suffers from OCD and gradually over the years its got a little better but its very difficult thing. I think everyone has small touches of it, but when it takes over everything its sad. She won't get on any sort of public transport and if you've been on a bus or a train, you're only allowed to sit on a certain chair. Sometimes its triggered by stressful events where people can't cope so that's their way of dealing with it.

You know your old when someone adds you as a friend, and you can remember good memories from around the time they was born. :)
