As if I could get insured on a transit van at 17 for £800 that's £600 cheaper than the mini, the van is a 2.8 125 hp and my mini is a 1.0 50 bhp ??????

Done an oil change earlier and here's not *quite* enough oil. Is it a stupid idea to put in half a litre of the old oil to top it up past the min mark?

It was a 5L can but I'd used a bit for a top-up before. I didn't think I'd used that much though. It's below the minimum mark, on the lettering. Not by much but I don't want to risk it.

Don't put the old oil back in. It'll render your oil change a bit of a wasted effort really.

Just phoned a garage to ask if a car was still available. Said have you still got the 2012 black Golf, 1.4 Tsi Match, registration number blah blah. The guy on the other end said "Is that the DSG?". I mean, how much information did I need to give him at the beginning for him to know exactly what car it was????

Ah well. Looked at the car. Bit of haggling. Bought it. Was swayed by the Volvo S40 but I can't shift my lifetime love affair with the Golf :-/

After tonights outing in the heavy rain ive decided to do an overhaul on my wipers :) New Arms, Blades and motor assembly on order. The single speed, with wipers barely clearing the screen at an extremely slow pace was the deciding factor!

My old HL wipers were so bad, I sometimes used to grit my teeth through the rain until it formed a sheet of water. It was easier to have a wobbly view than a streaky horrible mess of one :-)

Was terrifying! I could hardly see anything. Yeah orders the landrover arms, some aero type blade got a new parking switch and plug and motor assembly. Hopefully my wipers will work a treat :)
