Got nice clean Mini out of garage. Drove to local shop. Popped in for 2 minutes to buy stamps. Came out; car covered in bird s**t. End to end. Humphh ..

Go new tyres and temporary alloys (new tyres were £180 for 4 got new ones tyres and preowned rims for £150!!) getting them fitted tomorrow with balancing and wheel alignment also, then will clean my old Minilites put some picture up on the For Sale section and go from there :D also as it is beautiful weather soon as I got back from collecting wheels I cleaned the mini and the rims :) going to get quote for a respray soon and hope to have my mini completed by Riviera Run 2015...

Annoyed that the paint shop has given us the wrong paint! Painter said it's like chalk mad cheese colour! Great. Dreading seeing pingu later :'0(

We told them what colour said ford ice White said was not ford ice white so got machine out said was van white bit I've now been told they should then brought the colour out on strip to double check and they never. So we got call last night after he sprayed it saying it's not same but he had to finish it. Where pingu so so white he said this white he spayed looks cheese hence why chalk and cheese.
We are getting him done in winter full respray but it's not point I have to go...

BAAAH so close to getting my wheels fitted! Fronts are a perfect fit, rears foul the suspension arms :( Time for Cooper S drums...

I need a full sized professional tool chest, ie plenty of metric spanners, torx etc.. Wheres best to look for a full kit? Needs to be a tall roller chest jobby

Teng tools and Snap-on are both superb, Halfords Professional are good too. I've never bought a kit, mine are just built up from years of mine and my dad's collection.

Clarke do a reasonable start up kit. Look for there mechanic's tool kit set around £300 pm me if you want the item code for there site
