+1 for this, the only thing i hate more is the sound of the starter motor when the battery is flat :(

I'm genuinely changing my email provider because every time I check my emails I can't stand the absolute DRIVEL that Yahoo puts out. JESUS. ''Kim Jong-un spotted walking with a limp'' and ''Who has the best goal face?'' are amongst todays popular articles

Is there such a thing as a loom for smiths gauges? Something for the lights and to power a volt meter and clock?

that could work. Not 100% what I am after but would probably do the trick. Cheers Dom

also having major OCD decisions over the oil pressure gauge. I want a full face as it seems more useful, but it won't be symmetrical with the volt meter: first world problem!

My favourite I enjoy the most are ToM2012 mk1 and his white one, Hugh's wee sky, Carlos W's engagement ring build and all of sonikk's and shiftys. Great reads

Joe250's build is great. Agree on Petrol's thread although it is actually under his son's name (mikaraymond)

Think the baulk ring on 2nd is starting to wear a bit more, getting more crunching on downshifts.

-

Mine sometimes crunches badly into first! Only does it on first change of the day though

My old engine was on 100k with no major rebuild and no gearbox work at all - its just down to luck how long they last!

My 86000 mile 998 was going strong until the bearing supporting the 1st motion shaft in the transfer casing collapsed.

Lady following me out of the huge ASDA speedbumps about 1ft behind for absolutely no reason, I slow down so I don't destroy my tyres on the arches and she starts nodding impatiently because I'm doing 2mph over a speedbump. I then bumble out at 10mph onto the junction since my lights were green and she zooms past me to reveal HUGE dents down the side of her car and a blowing exhaust... (On an almost new BMW?) I love taking my time and annoying people like this :P

henri1972
i used to have a manta exclusive with people like that you could select reverse gear whilst going forwards up to 25 mph scare the hell out of people sitting up your chuff

you and i are alike then mate! I used to love fooling boy racers with my grandad looking car, let them sit on my ass getting impatient and then just floor it and leave them standing! lots of laughs in that car!

I had 3 idiots in a row the other night. one bounced over a mini roundabout as I was going the proper way round just to get in front. the second overtook me while on a speedbump.
and the 3 was tailgating me to the point I floored it up to the next speedbump to delibertly slam on the brakes (locking the fronts)and crawl over it as slowly as possible.

:( I managed to get my side trim back on today and fix my arch extension. Also found a water leak (hissing out from a hose clip) but warming it up reminded me of the beautiful purr from the RC40...

Back to the garage today, another issue. I hope things look up soon, it gets deflating.
