My trust for garages is practically gone now. Worst part is..a family friend works there who use to work on minis back in the day. But it spoke volumes to me when one of the clown mechanics couldn't open the bonnet and thought subframe mounts are engine mounts! The dumb truck!

I've dismantled a pair of vents and removed the "balls" which I'm sending off to be vacuum metalised - a chrome effect coating for plastic. Should look brand new when done. The justification of "because I want them" is the one I'm using funnily enough ;)

It's not a complete car, its a semi restored shell with a not very good cover on it that doesn't completely cover it.

i thought that would be the case! o well sure it will more than worth it when u get it finished and on some 10's :). think i will sell my 12's first should give me the optomisum to Remove and re do bearings an hubs for the third time. thanks :)
