Sat running car and i kept hearing thudding, opened door to listen and sounds like popping and slight burning smell. What could it be?

Might be a manifold gasket leak? When mine wasn't sealed properly, it used to pop and stutter

yeh sppedo cable is completly wedged in housing.. ive sheared in such way that its twisted all inside... yeh can stay like that for.now ha
