The funny thing is that 998s are the opposite way, overhangs at the back and leave a tiny step at the front

@Ryan, yeah this guy's been MOT'ing my grandparents cars, and my dads cars for years.. He's also restoring his own mini as well, he's been very lenient with my dads car in the past! @Grim I'm sure it's gonna fail on something stupid like rubbers/gaiters!

I wasnt allowed an ebay account until I left home for uni (one of my parents silly rules) but I made one anyway in 6th form and my grandad let me use his card to get going :) I was only kidding, im not gonna hunt you down like the DEA if you sell stopwatches on ebay :D I started off by selling vintage cameras that I bought on carboot for a couple of quid (used to collect them when I was 12 ish) and they sold for around £15 each and that gave me the bug! Carboots are great to pick sto...

stock as are Gumtree and pre-loved etc - even ebay itself, so many poorly advertised items on there. Go for those, or items that are local to you and collect only, if you know what to look for (you pick this up quick) then you nearly always get a bargain!

Before minis I was into go Karting. Made literally thousands from them and I still have three karts and a box trailer left over.

yeah i have done mig for plate to pipe, plate to plate fillet weld and plate to plate but welds on up to about 20mm plate

Well done fella. Used to be a fabricator in a large heavy fabrication shop and always had a lot of respect for the welders, especially when their welds were subject to X-ray and mag particle testing. We dealt with all sizes of plate from 1.6mm to 90mm.

we weld exotics, duplex, super duplex, stainless, cunifer, carbon mainly all tig but some mig. all x rayed and bombed.welders have to have codes for all of this up to specified thicknesses.
