Speedo cable stopped working so took it out and the wire on the inside of the cable has snapped!!!

it just says water ive been using warm but apparently warm water speeds up the salt in the grit and rots the mini faster :S

There is only a few minutes delay between when the water contacts the salty, dirty paint and when the salt is removed, so don't worry about it! :) Use warm water.
