Can anyone recommend a good 'how to' book for mig welding? Ideally for someone who's thick (me)

I found lots of helpful 'how to' videos on youtube. Try searching 'how to mig weld' or something similar

Spent the day programming an Arduino microprocessor and have finally managed to get it to do what I want. For someone who says 'I don't do electrics, I'm I mechanical engineer' I'm quite proud of myself

Incredible little devices aren't they, endless possibilities. What have you used yours for?

All I wanted to do was fit new metal clips to the CV boots. 1 drive shaft and CV joint removed later. The one job I hate the most on a mini by far. :(

Yep. Really is the job I hate doing. Such a PITA. I enjoy removing/fitting heads, fitting manifolds ect. I also needed to remove the tank to fit new pipes, and needed to remove the tank cover. what a PITA. But, to be fair, I did build that particular problem. :/

I need to remove the tank to get to the rear taillight cluster and I'm dreading the job. Mainly since draining the tank seems like a good way to end up getting fuel everywhere.

I'm offended that someone wanted an item I'm selling to be covered through paypal. :/ The mini community is fairly tight knit, and fell like they are saying I'll but the item, but I don't trust you. :(

What are you implying about the other guy? Maybe, like me, Minis make them poor and they can't stomach too much risk.

I just think It's sad that there's no trust within the community anymore. More and more scammers out there willing to rip people off doesn't help the situation either. :(

You are good for bringing up the issue. I'd add, We probably do this because business has become so impersonal and integrity is an afterthought. Lucky there is TMF and the like, otherwise we'd be on our own.

Yeah... They raised a Health and Safety "concern" at work, which was where I was able to play on the mini... not too sure what the next option is.
