Depends on your budget. I prefer Heritage and M Machine own pressed panels.

I use M-Machine. Their own in house panels are great and priced well too

Does anyone have a roof skin for a 77/78 mini that's for sale, I'm in the Dorset area

At the moment I am restoring my mini and it needs a roof replacement, do I just have to buy a roof skin or is it possible to cut the roof off at the pillars and use another roof of another mini

I would stick with fitting the roof skin
you will lose a lot of strength by cutting the pillars
there is also reinforcements inside the roof space to keep the pillars jigged
I think you will also need to cross brace diagonally
but others can confirm better than me

With lots of careful measuring, it can be done. Not for the faint hearted though if you want it perfect.
