What's the better engine to look out for? I want to go green laning and off-roading. I know it's a diesel I'm after but which engine?

I had the 2.5 4cyl turbo , did 40,000 on it , only fault spill ports keep working loose due to vibration ,

I have had all of the defenders and still kept my series 3, you want the 200tdi with LT77 gearbox, for most reliable... don't buy TDCI transit one as I have had two and they are sh*t!!
