Try getting involved with VW's...now there is a 'scene' packed full of 'I know everything' type people. I've always found the majority of 'mini people' very friendly...found some traders are tools though...not on here mind you!!

Oh the VWs! I asked a technical question on there about a mis-firing GTi and got a response "ah, another novice :-)". Smiley face my arse.
