hi guys am fitting new pads and discs on my mpi any ideas on how and what to use to open up the brake pistons to accomodate the new pads and discs

There are calliper wind back tools, but a pair of channel locks will do the job fine.

You could try Black Circles.com and see if there's a fitting centre in your area. Or alternatively order from MiniSport and get your local fitter to pop them on for you.
