Ok so my little violet is back at the garage with the 'electrician' who left me with more problems than I took her in with and charged me £320 for the pleasure of finding that out... Fingers crossed he does it right this time.. For his sake.

Let's hope he took a spare torch then, 'because if the batteries go flat, there's NO WAY he'll get it working again ;)
