Apple TV - any thoughts? Need to replace Chromecast as not compatible with BT home hub, but not heard much about the Apple TVs!

Ive tried all thet Sam :( Its a pain. I use my phone to set the connection up so the hotspot doing that wont work. I have tried to setting up using loadsa of different methods but i am just struggling to get it to even get to the set up point. I have the brand new home hub version so i dont know if this is part of the issue :(

Sounds like a dead chromecast to me. I had kinda the same problem, and ended up doing a hard reset http://www.droid-life.com/2013/07/31/how-to-factory-reset-a-chromecast/ worked ever since.
