that point when your mini breaks down 6 times in a 45 min drive at 2am on a foggy moor road....... grrr, the metro would never have done this ~_~

My daily fiesta popped a driveshaft this morning at 6am, on the twisties with no phone signal >_< - and being lowered it wouldn't fit on the first recovery truck that turned up.. aha

realy craving my mini back now. 8 months on in the restoration and endless parts issues are fustraiting.... I'm sure it will be worth the wait

is it bad that I'm concidering leaving the huge hole in the metro exhaust CUs it makes it pop and band under deceleration and I'm a bit of a child? :P

Linkoln BIG mini day today in the metro, spent 4 hours show prepping it, went down there with other from LnL moc, got to the gate, sadly the metro was not aloud in, i accept its not fully a mini and shouldn't expect to get in so parked in a (rip off) multistory. Walk into the show to find an old landrover (all be a very nice on).... now that is a weird looking mini :P not that im bitter, and i do appreciate the effort it take to organised an event like this. That hiccup aside, a good show...

I arrived late due to the A57 to A1 slip road being closed. We got diverted through Newark but hit traffic for around 1 hour! got to Lincoln and they wouldn't open the gates for just 2 minis. Safe to say i was pissed off with the way he spoke to me too, saying i should have got here earlier! Nearly wrapped a spanner around his head.

Well its looking like 2k in body shop costs, then 3k in parts (found some engine niggles since last time) added to the 3k to buy...... tis adding up and my 7k budget is in a rather a poor state. And im expecting another 500 quid in bits and bobs that ive forgotten.

Other than if you need to machine the engine cut the middle man out, do the work yourself.

there comes a point where you question how far you trust a 21yr old metro. my boss has asked me to travel from Sheffield to bilbao, Spain, and has said by any means i want, within a 500 quid cap. and I'm coinciding driving it for the lols

just sold my old exhaust for 60, called in at hellfrauds on the way home and ended up spending 80 on service bits for my metro..... why do my cars not let me have money for any length of time :P

I will only shop in Halfrauds with my trade discount card :-). If you work in the motor trade or can prove you work alot on cars with receipts as proof get one! Big savings can be had! Eg my gunson gas analyser with trade card was cheaper than what old used ones were going for on ebay!
