This is a quick wiring diagram, i dont see any reason why it wouldnt work.

Thinking about it the interior light would run to earth via the buzzer and the side lights.
Quite a few cars use blocking diodes, it's part of the bulb test circuit for the dash warning lamps allows electrickery to flow to them when the starter's turning but stops the starter serving as an earth.

This does work, it's pretty much how mine is wired up (i'm guessing the green bit is the buzzer)This is a quick wiring diagram, i dont see any reason why it wouldnt work.

All of the necessary circuits to tap ionto should be quite readily available behind the dash or near the steering column area too... nice simple design, I like it
