I thought it looked LOW in that photo !
It squats down when the power is on (210bhp  ) and with it being steep uphill it would make it squat even lower.
The sqaut is a weapon that helpsin hillclimbs it is very important to get a good start and be able to get out of the slow corners quickly and it seems to work.

Whats the thinking behind the changes Allan?

I am going to fabricate a strengthener for my rear shock top mount as in my opinion it just doesnt look up to the job, the stresses arent being channelled in the right direction, I notice there is now a small bar from the top mount up to the fore/aft diagonal to channel the stress. Mines not going to be anything too elaborate, just some 8mm plate. I will post once complete.

The stock shocks got hot in 1 mile on one run at the IOM a few weeks ago and it was bouncing about all over the place.
Also the damping is a bit vage at times eg patter at the front on power and the brakes,I have tryed changing the settings so many times you wouldnt belive but no joy.
Because with hillclimbs and srints we only get one run (lap) at a time I get plenty opertunity to try different setings.

Allan

forgive me if I am wrong but didnt you alter your track rod arrangement to help cancel out the bump steer using Rose joints and a spacer? If this is right do you have any info on what you used and maybe even some pictures of the setup.

If I am wrong plz ignore the above.

Cheers.
