Started sorting the bodyshell this weekend and realised how much easier it is to work with fibreglass than metal. Had to get the welder out to join panels together .
Decided new door steps were needed.
and then got it ready for the new floor that's coming this week
Might be a bit overkill but the owner wants it rust free so replacing whatever is needed. And I know the roof will be dented but it's not a problem as it's going to get a carbon one. Just turning it upside down makes it so much easier.

Well it's been a while since I updated this. Spent a while fitting new floor to the steel shell and then modifying the frame where it mounts to the front subframe. Didn't like the way it passes through the bulkhead to mount to the top mounts so modified the bulkhead and frame to allow the mounts to be hidden. Then the owner was convinced to buy this

So stripped everything out of the steel shell to fit into the fibreglass one. Unfortunately the modifications I had done to the frame now don't fit this shell so had to cut them off and start again. Luckily only tack welded so not the end of the world.

Now got to start again. Fit the frame and then add additional bars to locate the front subframe

Unfortunately nancy is no more. The new floor and a few other bits have been saved for future use.
