your best and only option imo is to get the timing and fuelling set up properly on a rolling road by someone who knows what they're doing.

maybe you might listen the 3rd time we tell you....

Maybe i should have explained.

The car is currently in the garage and has had a rebuilt engine and has been on the rolling road however its pinking with the compression ratio of 8.5-1.

I was kind of hoping that other people might be able to pass on their expertise or past knowledge with this to kit try and help me / the garage solve the problem.

whats the boost gauge saying its running?

whats the igntion advance and timing set to?

whats the AFR showing?

what garage is it being rolling roaded at?

I run 15psi on 8.7:1 and will be running 20psi on the same CR, it doesn't pink as i set the ignition timing and fueling myself then just pop to the rollers for a power run.

Providing the fuelling is spot on, you can either drop the compression, retard the timing, lower the boost or a combination of the above.

Personally the yellow book is useless for turbo advice.

best to buy a proper turbo book if you want to know about charging.

search for Corky Bell.

I have an update to this saga lol

Now have the car back from the garage and it is set up to run in the engine as its just been rebuilt. However as with my mini there are a few problems

1. The clutch is sliping on the rollers when showing about 45h at the wheels (its a standard verto 180 mm clutch) s was wondering what my options are with this, pre verto or is there anything else i can fit to help.

2. The car is only running 5 degrees advance on the standard dizzy and is heating up at idle to about 3/4 of the way up the temp gauge. I have a super cool 2 core radiator fitted so what would be the best options to aid cooling ? Do i need the dizzys advance curve altering( it has a standard cam) would an oil cooler help
