There's an old 'J' reg Imp not far from me and it looks pretty mint.

to be honest I've always had a soft spot for the Imp as my uncle once owned one and I loved the engine sound.

But I've never had a chance of actually driving one to compare it against a Mini and anyway I'm totally Mini mad, so I doubt an Imp would cut the mustard now.

I have had two Imps as well as two or three Minis and to be honest there is not much between the two for fun driving.
Spares for the Imps are getting scarce if you compare them to mini parts.
Get the Imp and use it for a while, the Imp Club are a very friendly bunch and have numerous meets all over the country.
The Imp is rear wheel drive which is also a bonus when it comes to spirited driving.

Buy it and enjoy it.

That is a fantastic price if it's roadworthy. I had an imp, they're fantastic, wish I'd never sold it. Join the Imp Club, they have a forum much like this. If you don't buy it give me the guys number!
