Well heres my Mini , "Thug" as shes affectionatly know. Shes a Mayfair, currently sporting red and white bodywork with the creative patch of filler here and there.. also she has rover allyos that came with her.
The decision was made to purchase Thug as a car for me after Mum had an unfortunate Accident in the March with the car that i was going to buy off her..

the spot lights were added when the replacement sills were fitted in August 2006.

We also took part in the Blackpool Red Nose Day event run by Derek Woodman Mini - Dad, Thug & me manage to complete this without any headlights working and she promptly stopped working at Lawsons Road in Blackpool near the local DeVere Hotel.

The RAC man follwed Dad home at great speed to get the min home before she died again, then she went off to Mini Technique for a new altornator, then back to there two weeks later due to it going (the pitfals of buying 2nd hand used parts still lesson learn't - so you'd think)

Then I did my first modification an odd looking centre console, Partially based on that of the new mini :

Then there Came the Clubman : Just wish i hadn't sold it !
Deformed (DFM) 998cc Auto Clubby quite a live wire too :tumble:

Then came a fare few breakdowns and suchlike (10 to be precise i've got the RAC slips to proove it:) )
The most recent was the Failure of the Ignition Amplifier on the ignition this was a bit of a crushing blow as the car had to be towed out of College attached to a bright oragne RAC van..
Posted Image as she arrived home.
Posted Image the offending item

then a picture of Thug and my mate Dom's mini before he sold it :

Then i made a custom dash for Thug as part of my Alevel at college:

then there was the Minifinity Rolling Road in April which Thug manage 50BHP yay :mrcool: although the carb is stuck on lean and needs a rebuild ah well ! another job to do

then blackpool Mini run 08:

and after 4 hours on the prom
Posted Image

So I've decided that the time has come to take the mini off the road and do a rebuild on her as she wont pass this years mot without all this work needing to be done so its a must.. Im at uni so it will take me at least two years in everyother weekend to do the work, the welding will be done by somebody elese but im hoping to do everything else bar the painting so here goes...

the idea is to do a bit of work to the engine too but need some advise on that so any suggestions are welcome ..

Here's the phtotos of what ive done so far ...

Most of the front end is stripped, all i need to do now is get the grinder out and strip off the panels so its pursuading dad to let me get hold of it haha

i will openly admit that i am a novice so any helpful comments along the way of how things should be done will be greatfully accepted :-

so ill keep this as uptodate as i can. Thanks bamby

ps will post the pics of the new metal tomorrow and some better photos ..

Right I went to Malvern Mini Show and ordered my new interior so that shall be collected on Saturday from them after ive phoned them tomorrow :genius:
Ive got a green MPI carpet from Tomsbluemini - thank you :(
I bought the Wiring Looms for the front headlights, New indicators, a carpet underlay and something else that i cant remember  shocking :w00t:

Most of its all stashed in the mini so until i can get it out to sort it out i wont have a full list of what ive got , let alone what i need to buy still!

ive got to empty the car on thursday night so i can get the interior out so thats when your likely to get lots of lovely photos to drule over ..

Cousin Roo will be doing an update later though .. :dontgetit:

The mini is stuck in the garage as the drives being relayed :) so it should hopefully be allowed to play all over the new drive in the next week or so ..

:D the thing im not looking forward to is trying to start her after a month of her just sitting there :w00t:

well well well Cousin Roo has been busy sorting out Thug and getting her organised, also Jaffa and Bambi have beenhelping her ,my that Roo is efficient !

Cousin Roo's first job was to clean the Corsa before the drive was replaced!
Posted Image

Posted Image

here cousin Roo was looking out at the whole garage thinking what a mess this needs to be sorted! so she did !

Posted Image

Posted Image

then she saw Thugs Messy Interior !

she then went to see if she could move Thug out of the garage but alas the drive was not yet finished !

Posted Image

So cousin Roo decided to show those builders how to lay a drive and get it finished !!
Posted Image

She then layed out the new front end to see what it would look like ...

Posted Image

then with the help of Jaffa and Bambi she scrubbed the carpet kindly donated by Tomsbluemini! Thank you Tom

Posted Image

Cousin Roo the Got herny the hoover out and gave the floor a good going over ...

Posted Image

then after a bit or faffing the MPi carpet was in ...

Posted Image

Posted Image

then today the trio had to hitch a ride with a rather nice man with a van to go and get Thugs new Seats from the Fantastic people at MAD about MiniS !

Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

"Its a lovely shade of Armendine Green" Said Cousin Roo to Her Cousin Roo of reading ...

then the defiant trio decided to have an early night as its a little chilly up north and its far to cold to work on dear Thug, nite nite. they say and over to bamby
