Righto, as promised photos from the day (thursday) thug left the garage in over 2 and a half months !

Gingerly being pushed out of the garage , covered in dust from the men that did the driveway :)

then it was time to push her a little further and chock her to stop her from moving !

Posted Image

then its time to charge the battery as it was safe to say it was flat as a whitches whatsit ;) good old snapon charger to the rescue

Posted Image

then a look at where the filler had once been, thank you mr MOT man :xmas:
Posted Image

Posted Image

then i covered her up whilst i went to the shop to see a man about a seat cover and another man about bodywork..

Posted Image

Popemobile anyone? :xmas:

so then i returned and it was time to get the newly recovered drivers seat in ..

Posted Image

Posted Image

im starting to think it looks ok with the red...

aye hope so no thanks to mot man his sidekick :) i wont be going there again! I complained to the garage about the damage done to the car, they said "NOT OUR fault its full of S**T! so i duely registered a fromal complaint against the garage with TS and the loacl college that was providing the training for the mans assistant, thus the college paid the £70.80p bill .

Still never mind, Been to Clancy's this afternoon to see how they were getting on with the quote and they are going to come and have a look at the scuttle and the painter wants to have a look to see what he needs to do. So will probably be nearer christmas when i get the quote from them to be honest.

Knight Autobodies are coming to have a look at some point too so , ive seen there work and its amazing but clancys is closer !

Update for the back end of december.

The man from Kinght Autobodies came to have a look at the car, told me a few things about the panles that i had ordered, although this didn't worry him as he can adjust them to make them fit. Also there was a higher chance that there was only going to be certain parts of the steel scuttle to be replaced, usually the corners. He also added that the bit by the air vents had probably rusted through too. So luckily for him i've got the panels to do the job. Hes going to get back to me on Monday the 5th january, so hopefully he will come back with a figure by then and a date when he can do the work.

On the other side of things ive had an offer by a good friend to do the bodywork for me so im emailing the pictures that i shall be taking tomorrow. Ill also post them up on here too as ive found a bit more rust than last time also more of the car has been removed/ stirped out.

Im starting to think that the red isnt that bad compared to the interior, and if i get it sprayed to match for now and the roof resprayed white, then it will do until i have the funds to do the whole car properly.
Ive made a choice about the wheels, 12" super stars will be going on mini when shes finished, although that will probably be later in 09

Those seats are gorgeous, they'd look brilliant in black.
